JLT Specialty Asia current chief executive Simon Weaver has been named Miller’s new head of Asia

Simon Weaver will join Miller as head of Asia from 1 September.

In his new role, Weaver will be responsible for leading Miller’s business development strategy in the region, the operational management of the Asian offices and will contribute to the firm’s overall growth plans.

Weaver will join Miller from JLT Asia, where he is chief executive of JLT Specialty Asia and currently responsible for developing and launching its specialty strategy.

In his new role, he will be based in Singapore and will report to Julian Taylor, member of Miller’s partnership board.

Commenting on Weaver’s new role, Taylor said: “We are delighted that someone of Simon’s experience and calibre has chosen to join us. He is highly respected in Asia and will play a leading role in furthering Miller’s growth in the region.”
