The Lloyd’s-PARIMA Professional Development Programme aimed at risk managers will take place later this month
Risk managers will have the opportunity to boost their development during a two-day event in Sydney later this month.
The Lloyd’s-PARIMA Professional Development Programme will run in the harbour city on 24-25 October 2017 in response to the needs of risk professionals in the region. It follows the 2016 programmes in Hong Kong and Singapore.
The Sydney programme will provide an overview of the Lloyd’s insurance market, insight into the latest emerging risks and city resilience. Attendees will also examine the underwriting process and how a risk is priced, plus how claims are handled.
“This dedicated programme for risk managers is delivered by the insurance and risk industry’s highly-respected experts,” said Franck Baron, chairman of PARIMA. “The programme meets our aim of strengthening and enhancing the culture of risk management by creating opportunities for education and dialogue within the community.”
An enterprise risk manager who attended the Singapore event added: “I truly believe this programme is very helpful from beginning to end. It provides an exceptional opportunity for risk managers to gain new perspectives and points of view.
“I have attended just the first session and, upon my return, I began to question some of my previous decisions and I am more analytical, even critical, now. As a result, I have a superior capacity to look for new, alternative and differentiated solutions.”
The next Lloyd’s-PARIMA Professional Development Programme will be held in Tokyo, Japan on 16-17 November 2017. To learn more about the programmes, head to http://parima.org/lloyds-parimaprogramme/.
