Amity will offer a comprehensive risk management learning experience for graduate and post-graduate students

With recent events highlighting the demand for greater risk management practices across all business sectors, RIMS and The Amity University have entered into agreement to present a series of RIMS-Certified Risk Management Professional certification prep courses to the institution’s graduate and post-graduate network.  

Starting in late-October, Amity University will offer a comprehensive risk management learning experience for Banking, Insurance, Actuarial Sciences and Finance graduate students, as well as to its network of established business executives.

The five-weekend program will explore strategies to devise strong risk management capabilities, including:

  • Analysing business models;
  • Designing organisational risk strategies;
  • Implementing risk processes:
  • Developing organisational risk competencies; and
  • Supporting decision-making.

Upon completing the programme and passing the certification exam, participants will earn the RIMS-CRMP professional credential.

Professor Balvinder Shukla, vice chancellor, Amity University welcomed the agreement and said the partnership would provide a great opportunity to faculty to network and build relationships with the professional world.

“This is an era of networking, partnership and developing synergy to support industry and provide practical exposure to those who want to develop risk management competencies. Such certifications provide an advantage to students which enhances the chances of employability and expertise”, she said.

In December 2020 RIMS announced the formation of its India Chapter. It will host its 4th Annual RIMS India Risk Forum, virtually, December 3 and 4, 2021.
