XL strengthens APAC team

As of October 7, Jonathan Mead (pictured) will be responsible for building and maintaining XL Asia Pacific’s strategic client and broker relationships across the region.

Mead, who is currently XL Group’s London-based senior client and distribution leader, will move to XL’s office in Sydney, Australia. He has been with XL Group for almost 10 years, following a period at RSA.

The XL Asia Pacific insurance region integrates its operations in Australia, Singapore, Labuan, Hong Kong and China. Craig Langham leads the Asia Pacific team and Andrew Vigar is regional manager.

Langham, who is also based in Sydney, welcomed Mead’s appointment.“Jon’s experience across all product lines in the placement of UK domestic and global programme policies, combined with his in-depth understanding of XL Group’s products and service offering, will be a great asset to our Asia Pacific business,” he said.
