Aon, Lazada Group and Ayala Corporation among the night’s top winners

The great and the good of Asia-Pacific’s risk management community gathered in Singapore last week for the inaugural StrategicRISK Asia-Pacific Risk Management Awards.

Close to 200 guests packed the ballroom of The Fullerton Hotel on the evening of 18 May to hear the winners revealed.

Eleven awards were given by hosts, StrategicRISK Asia-Pacific editor Jessica Reid and publisher William Sanders; several nominees were also highly commended.

Some of the big winners on the night included Lazada Group’s Gordon Song who took home the Asia-Pacific Risk Manager of the Year Award, and Ayala Corporation for Enterprise Risk Programme of the Year. Aon picked up two awards on the night: Risk Management Product of the Year and Asia-Pacific Broker Innovation of the Year.

But the night’s top honour went to Eamonn Cunningham who received the Lifetime Achiever Award. Cunningham, based in Sydney, Australia, was formerly the chief risk officer for Scentre Group and remains a founding board member of RIMS Australasia.

A full list of winners is below, and all of the highlights will appear in a special issue of StrategicRISK out next month.
