Changes at the top for ACE Insurance’s Asia Pacific franchise
ACE Group regional president Damien Sullivan (pictured) will become chairman of the company’s Asia Pacific division. Based in Australia, this new role will focus on governance, strategic planning and senior customer relationships across the region.
Juan Luis Ortega will succeed Sullivan as regional president, and will have responsibility for the commercial and personal property, as well as casualty and personal accident, insurance operations in the region’s 12 countries and territories. Ortega will continue to be based in Singapore.
Current division president, North America Property and Specialty Lines, Paul McNamee has been named deputy president, Asia Pacific. He will return to Singapore, where he was based with ACE more than a decade ago.
All of the appointments will take effect from 1 September.
The ACE Insurance franchise in Asia Pacific serves Australia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and several other nations in the region, with core property and casualty, and accident and health lines, as well as its growing SME and personal lines businesses.
