The Professional Risk Managers International Association has increased its presence in India

The Professional Risk Managers International Association (PRMIA) has opened an office in Hyderabad, India, after already establishing a presence in Bangalore and Mumbai.

Dr Yerram Raju Behara, a banker-turned economist and management consultant, is the Hyderabad chapter’s regional director. "We will strive to be the voice of the risk management industry in India, a leader of industry opinion and a proponent for the risk management profession," He said. "We have established a strong steering committee of professional bankers, insurance and industry representatives, and academics to lead our chapter and help us achieve our goals."

David Millar, PRMIA chief operating officer, said: "Our membership in India is growing at an impressive rate. We are making a considerable impact on the risk management community through our chapter and educational activities.”
