Kenneth Kwok to build local business links as Marsh grows
Marsh has named insurance industry veteran Kenneth Kwok as chairman of its operations in Hong Kong.
He reports to Paul Wilkins, CEO for Greater China and will work alongside Marsh Hong Kong CEO, David Jacob.
Kwok will focus on new relationships within the local business community and strengthening the current team.
"I am extremely pleased to have Kenneth on board in Hong Kong, a critical market for Marsh in Asia," Wilkins said. "Kenneth's depth of experience in risk management will greatly benefit our current and future clients in Hong Kong, playing a critical role as we continue to grow our franchise across Greater China."
Most recently, Kwok was Chairman of Falcon Insurance Hong Kong, a unit of Canada's Fairfax Financial Holdings. Previously, he held senior positions at HSBC Non-Life Holdings, Lombard Insurance Group and Jardine Insurance.
"Hong Kong is a market where Marsh has the potential to grow even further, providing significant value to businesses of all sizes and across all industries," Kwok said. "Risk management is clearly taking a front seat in 2009 for businesses in Asia against the backdrop of unprecedented global uncertainty. I look forward to helping Marsh Hong Kong build on its growth trajectory to become the leading risk advisor and insurance broker in the market."
