Ahead of PARIMA’s first Bangkok conference, StrategicRISK spoke to a couple of board members to get their thoughts what Thailand’s risk management community can expect

More than 170 risk managers are set to descend on Bangkok today for PARIMA’s first conferenced in the region.

Topics for the day include digital transformation for your business, managing cyber risk, how business interruption affects your business, natural catastrophe risk, D&O policies, risk culture, ERM and more.

Franck Baron, risk manager of International SOS and chairman of PARIMA said: ”I am very proud to be hosting our first 2018 PARIMA Conference in Thailand. Our local Board members did a fantastic job at developing a solid community of risk professionals and I am really excited to meet up with all  of them and exchange on the latest risk management trends and challenges. The focus on digital transformation is key in my eyes as it does impact so many aspects of our risk management profession as well as the insurance industry.”

“We are very excited to be hosting a PARIMA Conference in Bangkok, Thailand for the very first time. The conference is going to serve as a unique platform for PARIMA to facilitate engagement within the risk management community – risk managers, regulators and the market, which is going to be critical in light of the Thailand 4.0 initiative in the country. PARIMA would look to support the growth and development of our Thailand risk manager members as they continue on their personal risk management journey whilst navigating this changing industry landscape,” added PARIMA board member Kelvin Wu.

StrategicRISK will be convering the conference throughout the day so stay tuned!
