Internal appointment takes Michael Lum from London to Singapore
Beazley has appointed Michael Lum political and trade credit underwriter for the Asia-Pacific market.
Lum will join the underwriting team in Singapore in early 2014, moving from London, where he currently works with the firm’s political risks and contingency group claims team.
Prior to joining Beazley in 2011, he worked as a lawyer specialising in political risks and trade credit claims in the insurance and reinsurance department of an international firm in London.
The firm’s head of political risk and contingency Adrian Lewers said: “I am delighted we have been able to fill this important position from within Beazley. Michael’s background in claims is excellent preparation for this specialist area.”
